"Teach your Dog to find People!!" 

Our 2 day workshop aims to give you a wider knowledge of Mantrailing and Search and Rescue with Pet Dogs. 

it Costs £140 for the 2 days -   Sunday 9th of February 2020 & Sunday 1st March 2020  Both Days will run 10am - 2pm 

Day 1 Sunday 9th of February, Rural Areas - Fields, Forrest , Woodland , Countryside lanes & Barns - Day 1 will Held at Chorleywood Dog Training ,  Chenies Manor , WD3 6EP.
We will have a 30-45 min Theory Session on Day 1 , we will then Deploy our dogs on Trails of people in Rural areas around the beautiful setting of Chenies Manor
Day 2 Sunday 1st of March Urban Areas - Town Centre , Streets , Shops , Pubs & Train Stations - Day 2 will Held at Chesham Town centre , we will be meeting at the George Pub in the High street at 9:30 we will start at around 10am.  
We will start at 10am with a 30-45 min Theory Session on both days , Dogs will need a suitable rest are  , crate / bed in car/van preferably.  We will then Deploy our dogs on Trails of people in Urban  areas around  Chesham high street. 
Both days will run from 10am-2pm 

This workshop is suitable for all breeds and ages, as well as reactive dogs.
All exercises are tailored to each dog handler team!

We work  based on positive reinforcement.
 
Please bring:
  • All-weather clothes (incl. waterproof gear)
  • A harness preferably one that your dog has never worn before (please don’t put it on your dog until instructed)
  • If you have a long line (8-10m), please bring it with you
  • Two small Tupperware’s (pocket size)
  • High value (!!) dog treats (NO DRY KIBBLE!) e.g.: Fish cake, liver cake, favourite wet food, liverwurst out of the tube, cheese, etc. à if you have any questions about this, please don’t hesitate to ask. This plays a very important role in the introduction. Bring enough treats for several runs.
  • Bring water and a bowl
  • If your dog is ball/toy-crazy, please bring the most favourite
  • Bring a scent article with you e.g. a small scarf, headband, glove, bandana, etc. Please put it in a small, re-sealable bag
Please do not feed your dog breakfast before the course – they will get their breakfast on the trail J
We are working the dogs one by one; therefore, it is necessary that the
dogs can wait safely in the car until it is their turn. Attendees can learn a lot from observing the other dogs trailing behaviours. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask.
